Merry Christmas

Ok, so it is the last day to work before Christmas and I am very excited but also a little stressed! I just figured out what I'm going to make for Christmas dinner! Now I have to go to wal-mart and hope that they have everything I need! Do you think they'll have any turkey's left? We are going to fry a turkey for Christmas too since Thanksgiving went so well! I have got SO much to remember, I think I need a list, but knowing me I will leave the list at work! I also have a few gifts to wrap and a couple of envelopes to stuff with money and I will officially be DONE! I guess that's really not an accomplishment considering Christmas is in two days! LOL! Anyway, I just wanted to wish EVERYONE a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope that God has blessed you as least half as much as he has blessed our family. He has given us a beautiful family and a warm home to reside in. I love you all very much and I care about each and every one of you. I hope you all remember what Christmas is really about and that you don't get so caught up in the gift giving and food that you forget why we celebrate. Jesus Christ is ALIVE and he lives in my heart today. I hope he does the same for you, if not, he CAN and WANTS to! If you aren't sure how or why then please email/call me, I'd love to talk!

Christmas Time

So, I've been shopping, decorating, wrapping and baking for the past several weeks. I even made a fudge recipe that turned out right! I think I'm going to try it with peanut butter tomorrow night! I'm giving baked treats to Corban's preschool teachers and to both of the boys Sunday School teachers. I hope they will enjoy it. I also need to make a cake or pie for our preacher and friends. I finally got Christmas cards finished and mailed yesterday! I made 60 and they are ALL gone! I really don't think that many people like us, but you have to be nice at Christmas, right? LOL!
My only problem now is I feel like I don't have enough bought for Jeremy and I have no clue what to get him! If anyone can suggest anything, please let me know! I am open to suggestions!

No Christmas parties this year, Jeremy has decided we aren't going to his companies party and we aren't having one at our office this year. I bought an outfit to wear to Jeremy's. I guess I will just have to look sexy elsewhere, LOL! YeAH RIGHT!

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas and enjoys and remembers the real reason we celebrate.

Weather and Falling

Not much more to say today. Still a yucky day and getting colder by the minute. They say a 'winter storm' is coming through from Mississippi (you thought I couldn't spell that didn't you!) all the way up to New England but only the top and bottom are actually getting any winter weather, all we're getting is RAIN! Don't get me wrong, I know we need the rain but I would rather see snow! :)

Ok, so I have to tell you something that happened to me last night. For most people it would have been rather embarassing, but to me, well, let's just say I have lots of practice laughing stuff like this off... I had prepared a large crockpot full of chili for a dinner we were having at church last night. I had it with me at work letting it cook here and carried it out to my car in the rain. A friend of mine was nice enough to walk beside me and open doors for me and while we were walking out she reminded me not to drop it! I laughed at the thought thinking I would be pretty upset if I were to drop it after all the hard work I put into it. So, I made it to the car with no accidents! I even got out of the car at church and carried it all the way to the doors where someone was nice enough to open the door for me! I walked carefully through the tile foyer on the rugs and made it almost to the carpeted room when on my last step in the foyer I hit the tile and slipped! I went down to my knees but the crockpot stayed up and I tried my hardest to not spill it. I succeeded! Not a drop of chili was spilt! Someone rushed over to help me and took the chili out of my hands and then helped me to me feet! Everyone was amazed that I didn't spill any and also concerned that I had hurt myself. Other than a little scrape on my knee and not being able to sit on my knees I'm fine! The news did carry quickly though! LOL! By then end of church everyone was asking if I was ok! LOL!
Just wanted to share my clumsiness with you guys and let Kaylene know she's not alone!

A bunch of stuff...

So today is very yucky outside here, warm but yucky. The fog is thick and it is so wet! It's also pretty quiet at work and I don't have much to do this morning. I thought I'd try this blogging thing again since the last time I tried I got a little upset that it lost EVERYTHING I had typed. Let me catch you up on my life then...

Finished reading all four of the twilight saga books and also a portion of Midnight Sun which isn't completed yet. I'm pretty bummed it's not done and that it might not get finished b/c it really is a great book!

Almost finished Christmas shopping now but the few things I have left are going to be the hardest ones! Wish me luck!

We are having Christmas dinner at our house again this year and I am really excited about it. I am hoping that my brother and sister in law will be coming too but who knows, they don't usually make decisions until the last minute! I even bought some new dishes for the occasion complete with platter and gravy boat! Wow! I've never had a gravy boat before! LOL!

My friend Jax is having a baby next week and I can't wait to meet him!

Ok, Christmas cards. Sorry you haven't gotten one yet but my children can't seem to cooperate with the picture taking and I am going to try tonight to get that done so that I can upload them and have them printed out this week to send out by the weekend! Hopefully they will be worth the wait!

Ok, so I am really HOPING this works! Take care and I'll talk to you soon!
